Our Story
In 2022, what started as a COVID hobby turned into something more. Inspired by a newfound passion for woodworking, I began looking at the trees and woodwork in bountiful BC to create functional, beautiful items for the home.
The process started slowly—the right woods, an eco-friendly resin. I was obsessed and spent every extra minute in my tiny workshop or visiting vendors selling beautiful or unusual woodcuts and roundels I could incorporate into my craft. I especially loved working with resins. I spent a lot of time looking for the right colours, creating signature blends that enhanced my boards' natural colour and beauty after curing.
After creating one of two, I received many requests from family members and friends, and they were also the people who encouraged me to launch my own Etsy Shop. It is still early in the game, but I've been thrilled with the response!
Although wood and resin are very different materials, I love combining them to make functional, beautiful art--for serving and display. All my pieces use sustainably sourced Canadian lumber and eco-friendly resin. I also finish every board my own custom food-grade wax to protect the wood and include a tin with every piece I sell, so you can keep your board clean, beautiful, and protected.
